career began in the office of Prof. Pierre Zoelly in Zurich.
Later he worked for Prof. Dolf Schnebli in Agno (canton Ticino),
where he acted as head of design and construction. After that
he returned to Zurich to join the architectural firm of Theo
Hotz as managing architect. For six years he was responsible
for a number of large-scale projects.
